Acrylic is just as clear as glass but it is eight times stronger. Polycarbonate is an amazing 200 times stronger making it virtually vandal proof. They are both lighter, easier to handle and so much safer whether in the home, garden, office or factory. Easy to drill, saw, file, hot air shape and glue they are the perfect user friendly glazing medium. Unlike some plastic materials, acrylic and polycarbonate can be used both indoors and outdoors and amongst the many applications they are suitable for are:- windows, greenhouses, cold frames, storm porches, skylights, boat windscreens, rally car glazing, verandah windbreaks, machine covers, machine guards and vandal resistant glazing. Remember, cut to fit glass can cost significantly more than acrylic safety glazing.
